Enjoyed tapas and GREAT dinner out on the patio on the Brenham square! Wine list is extensive and local micro brews are also offered. Food and service is fantastic with value to match!
Is there a dress code? No. But it's nice enough to dress up. Is there a bar? With a great selection of craft beer, in fact. Need a break from Houston haute? This. Here. Haute assez!
This great restaurant is located right on the town square. The food is very good, plated well and not what you would expect to find in a small town. The service is polite, but needs some polish on their skills to do the restaurant's food justice. Wait staff doesn't seem to know their menu items well enough to accurately describe them all. The owner seems to be hands pretty on, and he was very pleasant when he visited with us. He proudly mentioned that he buys premium coffee, yet the waiter tried to serve us rewarmed, bitter coffee that had been made more than an hour ago (his own admission). Once they made fresh coffee, that was good also.
96 West is one of our favs. Only improvement would be a full bar instead of beer & wine. You won't be disappointed and it beats going into Cypress or Houston for a quality meal.
Simply amazing. The ambiance is truly upscale. The menu is extensive. My wife and I were here with another couple, and on our table at the same time was: quail; lamb; duck; and, pork. Their Crab and Lobster Nachos are, just, well, my vocabulary is insufficient to accurately and adequately describe how truly amazing they are. The service is attentive without being pushy. You do not feel rushed at all. 15 craft beers on tap, more in bottles. The best wine list between Austin and Houston. And this place is in downtown Brenham? Yes, this place is in downtown Brenham, Texas!
